1989 schreibt Don Eigler Nano-Geschichte. Aus 35 Xenon-Atomen formte der IBM-Wissenschaftler ein winzig kleines I-B-M-Logo. Anfang September sprach der Physiker in Boston auf Einladung der Credit Suisse über die Zukunft der Informationstechnologie. Eigler ist überzeugt, dass die Nanotechnologie eine zentrale Rolle bei der IT-Entwicklung spielen werde.

En 1989, Don Eigler entrait dans l’histoire nano en formant un logo IBM miniature à partir de 35 atomes de xénon. A l’invitation du Credit Suisse, le physicien s’exprimait début septembre à Boston sur l’avenir des technologies de l’information. Selon lui, les nanotechnologies vont jouer un rôle capital dans l’évolution du secteur informatique.

At the beginning of September this year, the physicist accepted an invitation from Credit Suisse to speak about the future of information technology in Boston.
