Talk on Journalism

This morning I was a guest speaker at the “Freitag am Donnerstag” series on journalism. It was organized by Freitag AG and curated by Tina Roth Eisenberg.

I spoke about what I believe is a good story, and referenced my piece on Monica Lewinsky, the story about the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in Oklahoma, the firefighters who trained to go to Iraq to extinguish burning oil fields, my feature on victims of the Subprime crisis, an interview with UBS client Igor Olenicoff, the visit I paid Dennis Kozlowski in jail, a story I did on electroconvulsive therapy in Switzerland, another on how the Swiss youth uses media, and about the football school that Swiss football club Young Boys operates in Cote d’Ivoire, and lastly my search for Switzerland’s holy grail, a rock.

The audience was wonderful, and I got many interesting questions. Marcel Bernet wrote a good summary on his blog.
