2012 is On

2010.jpgWhile everybody is still tired of the presidential campaign of 2008, everybody is getting ready for 2012.

Until the end of November, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, and current Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal have stops scheduled in Iowa, traditionally the crucial caucus state in the Mid West. “Jindal will be president, I just don’t know the year”, says anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist about anti-tax crusader Jindal.

Other Republicans we will probably see traveling to Cedar Rapids and Des Moines soon:

Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska and former vice presidential candidate, still a keen observer of Russia from her living room.

Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, conservative stalwart. He bashed Bill Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky, before he had his own affair. His slogan to defeat changer-in-chief Barack Obama: “Real change requires real change.”

Mitt Romney, former Governor of Massachusetts, former organizer of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, former candidate for President. Still handicapped by being a Mormon.

Tim Pawlenty, Governor of Minnesota, and almost vice presidential candidate of John McCain.

Charlie Crist, silver-haired Governor of the silver-haired state of Florida.
