Apple’s new iPhone is a hit. Everybody wants it. But the high global demand has crashed Apple’s servers. Thousands of iPhone buyers are stuck with phones that can’t make calls. The new MobileMe service has been on-and-off all day. It still works rather spotty. Owners of the old iPhone can’t activate its new software.
It seem as if Apple is experiencing the sweet smell of success. It’s harder to handle a lot of customers than just a few. Just ask Microsoft.
